Transformers and Jurassic Park Collab Pack
The figures in this pack are nice. The T. rex especially had a lot of paint which looks fantastic in her Dinosaur mode. The robot mode, aside from a fantastic head sculpt, looks very bland. The parts of the dinosaur that are showing in robot mode do not contrast well with the majotity of unpainted plastic for the robot parts and just make the figure feel cheap. The Kingdom Beast Wars Megatron still looks the best in both modes, and is the better buy, at least in my opinion. JP-93 is much the same: the vehicle mode looks phenomenal. The transformation is nothing special, very similar to the Datsun moulds, and the quality of the figure is good, except for the ball jointed elbows which are not good at all. I don’t know anything about making transformers, but I thought hasbro had largely moved past ball joints for figures this size, for the better in my opinion. The robot mode is nothing to write home about, basically the Datsun mould, and if you like it you’ll like it, if you don’t then you won’t. Overall the 2 pack is nice, though I would wait until it is on sale or reduced as I wouldn’t, and didn’t, pay the full price as I personally don’t believe that it is worth the full price. Overall, nice figures, but I’ll be keeping them in their alt modes, or in mid-transformation as, as you would expect, they look almost identical to their onscreen counterparts.
