Blades Of Time is the incredible game developed by Gaijin Entertainment, and published by Konami. This revolutionary hack and slash action game is the spiritual successor to Gaijin Entertainment's X-Blades, which was released in 2009.
Step into the shoes of our deadly treasure hunting heroine Ayumi, as she journeys through the Dragonland; a mystical and dangerous treasure-laden place caught in the grip of Chaos magic, that none have been said to return from. Although entering the land willingly searching for a legendary treasure, Ayumi now finds herself stranded, with no clue of how to escape this lethal world of twisted reality and peculiar phenomena. And Ayumi soon discovers that she's not alone, with danger and ancient secrets lurking around every corner.
This action packed, character-driven game boasts a wide array of versatile combat alongside vibrant graphics, a unique and rich storyline, as well as visually enchanting landscapes and environments. Ayumi is deadly with both guns and swords, specialising with her signature dual katana, and accompanied by a whole arsenal of artillery. The wide range of weaponry goes in hand in hand with over forty sets of combat skills available for you to master, including melee, tactics, combos, and more, alongside the Order and Chaos magic. All of this availability is well needed in Blades Of Time, as more often than not Ayumi finds herself face to face with hordes of demons, monsters, and gargoyles, to name but a few. Ayumi utilises all available to her with her fierce and acrobatically impressive combat style, moving at lightning fast speeds as she slices, dices, and blasts apart all of her opponents.
Two innovative new features have been introduced; two special powers that are bestowed upon Ayumi to help her as she traverses through this treacherous land. Time Rewind allows the player to go back in time, creating a clone of Ayumi that re-enacts all of her last actions; this ability is crucial in gameplay when it comes to solving puzzles and defeating armies of menacing creatures and villains. Dash is used to instantly close the distance between Ayumi and her opponent, and means she can travel quickly through her environment. This Dash mechanic is supremely helpful in battle, as Ayumi can lock onto foes and then dash from enemy to enemy, leaving their carnage in her wake.
Blades Of Time will have players addicted to the fast-paced action from the get go, and has almost endless replay value with the amount of combat skills to master, and treasure hidden around the land.
