Star Wars: 1313
A$75.99

Star Wars: 1313 is the eagerly anticipated third person shooter and action adventure game by Lucas Arts, and is also the first internally developed Star Wars project since 2010's The Force Unleashed 2, being the result of collaborated teamwork with Lucas Film Animation, Industrial Light and Magic, and Skywalker Sound. The game is set within the time period of the original Star Wars film trilogy, and depicts more mature themes as well as a darker side of the Star Wars universe.
The game takes place below the surface of the Empire home world and Imperial capital of Coruscant, on level 1,313. Coruscant possesses over 5,000 underground levels, where the further you go down, the more seedy and treacherous the underworld becomes, making level 1,313 a deadly and dangerous place to go, filled with criminals and general scum of the planet. This darker and grittier side of the Star Wars universe leads into the more mature themes of the game, as the world is more complicated now; good and bad are no longer easily discernible, and it's not as clear as who is trustworthy anymore.
Star Wars: 1313 has been graphically designed to be a truly cinematic experience, with an extraordinarily acute attention to detail having been paid to both the characters and the environments. The game is overall visually breath taking, beautifully depicting the shadowy criminal underbelly and violence that occurs within level 1,313. The characters within the game have been created to feel incredibly realistic and human, done so with the help of Industrial Light and Magic's motion capture equipment. This helped to capture every trace of emotion of the actor's face, down to the most minute details in order for every performance to feel truly convincing. This was achieved by using full performance capture suits, including special headgear that tracks multiple facial muscles and eye movements, allowing every character to come to life within the game.
The cinematic experience is enhanced by the cutting edge graphics that allow the game to transition seamlessly between the in-game cut-scenes and gameplay, blending together so smoothly you will hardly be able to differentiate between the two. The gameplay itself is based upon the brilliant combination of cover-shooting and platforming, with the protagonist being well versed in the skills of jumping, climbing, and shooting. Each of the levels within the game has been designed and revolves around giving you a multitude of opportunities to use each and every one of your various gadgets, tasking you to examine the environments you find yourself in carefully. You will need to do this also when you are confronted with enemies, as you will need to plan out a lethal assault with the use of the environment and the tools you have.
Prepare yourselves for Star Wars: 1313, showing the universe of Star Wars as you've never seen it before. Delve into the seedy underbelly of Coruscant, where you have no Force to rely on; only yourself, your skills, and the gadgets and tools you possess. (Cat Emerson)
