DSi Light Blue and New Super Mario Bros Bundle
A$303.99
The first new Mario Bros. title since the SNES has now hit Nintendo’s portable handheld as an impressive 2D platformer with 3D style visuals.
In the many years Nintendo fans have been waiting for a Mario Bros. sequel, few have managed to recreate the series’ colourful, addictive pace of play. New Super Mario Bros. easily matches the plethora of platforming titles already available on the system and uses the DS’s power to throw in some new gameplay elements.
The bottom DS screen is now used to display level information and store Mario’s (or Luigi’s) items off screen, freeing the above screen the show the action. New power ups include the Mega Mushroom, which turns Mario into a behemoth filling the screen, smashing through any blocks or enemies in his way with ease. New moves include the triple jump and the butt stomp, both taken from the 3D Mario titles.
New Super Mario Bros. includes a number of new features powered by the DS, but still has the classic level structure and simplistic storyline that Mario fans have loved for years. With the inclusion of Multiplayer modes and mini-games, this is a game than can please both new and old fans.
