A Tale of Two Sisters

When Frozen hit cinemas in 2013, it quickly became one of the highest-grossing animated movies of all time. With its catchy songs, memorable characters, and girl-power message, it has firmly established itself as a fan-favourite.

The original movie follows the journey of two sisters, Princess Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Princess Anna (Kristen Bell) in the kingdom of Arendelle. Elsa has an extraordinary power to create ice and snow. But she is forced to hide her magic from the world and live with the anxiety that Arendelle’s citizens might discover her powers and fear her. The two sisters grow apart and develop a very distant relationship.

The story follows the sisters’ journey, after an incident involving Elsa’s powers, to find each other again and save Anna’s life before the magic enters her heart and it’s too late. Along the way, they meet Olaf (Josh Gad) - the playful and naïve snowman brought to life by Elsa’s magic.

They also meet a lonely iceman named Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his reindeer, Sven. The troupe must protect Arendelle from the narcissistic Prince Hans (Santino Fontana), and Elsa must understand the key to controlling her powers.

The Winter-Time Adventure Continues

The second instalment of the Frozen franchise, and sequel to the first film, follows the sisters in a new adventure of self-discovery. The snow queen, Elsa, finds herself strangely unsettled, although Arendelle is at peace.

After hearing a mysterious voice call out to her, Elsa travels to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond the borders to restore peace to the land and understand the true depth and meaning of her powers.

Both films have inspired a generation, and with hit songs such as “Let it go” from the first film, this franchise is truly unforgettable.
