Cairo, 1941. David Stirling - an eccentric young officer, hospitalised after a training exercise went wrong - is bored. Great fun
A wild, anachronistic, punk rock take on the origins of the SAS. Visually appealing, wittingly-scripted, and intensely violent where it needs to be. A surprising and very welcome vein of queerness runs through it as well. The blu-ray presentation is handsome - looking forward to a second season!
